The Awakening Of

An African Giant

Why the Democratic Republic of Congo?

DRC Invest is pleased to announce the inaugural DRC Investment Summit,
taking place from 27 - 29 June 2022 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

The largest Francophone country in Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC),
endowed with vast natural resources, has nearly 80 million inhabitants, fewer than 40% of whom live in urban areas.
With 80 million hectares of arable land and over 1,100 listed minerals and precious metals,
the DRC has the potential to become one of the richest economies on the continent and a driver of African growth.

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) witnessed the first peaceful transfer of power,
and during the inauguration speech, His Excellency President Felix Tshisekedi
highlighted his administration’s main priority; reviving the country’s economy.

Policy makers are sending strong signals to global investors and bilateral partners;
“business can be conducted seamlessly and effectively within our borders”.
When investors perceive an environment to be hurdle free, it is easy for them to
plan long-term investments, becoming development partners who supplement the government’s efforts.
